Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown art glass in orange over pearly white (almost opal pink), with gold flecks. This Italian art glass decorative bowl / ashtray is documented to Master glass artist and designer Alfredo Barbini, circa 1950-1960. It is a published design; see the last image for documentation. The color is a rich "persimmon" orange as described in the Barbini catalog. The bowl has two indents on the rim and is covered in gold leaf throughout both sides. We'd style this as a statement piece on a desk or coffee table on a stack of large books. Use it as a catchall, candy dish, or a plate to stash your favorite every day earrings.
Measures 6.25” long x 5.25” wide x 2.25” high. A very heavy, thick piece!
