The bright colors and modern patterns in this piece really caught my eye! An Antique English earthenware flatback Staffordshire spill vase decorated with a man and woman dressed in Scottish plaids, most likely depicting the Biblical story of Rebekah at the Well. The vibrant colors and patterns are hand painted and so lovely. This piece most likely dates to about 1850.Â
There is a name signed on the bottom, possibly an owner's mark at some point.
Measures: 7ʺW × 3ʺD × 10.25ʺH
Condition Notes: Expected Minor Imperfections Due To Age And Normal Usage. Rebekah's arm has broken off years ago, and there is a chip out of the back/top of the spill vase. The rest of the piece is in really wonderful condition, and these imperfections are normal for the age.
